Fortigate certificate file for ipads, phones, android devices, chromebooks & firefox

Some info on why you need certificates installed on your deviceā¦
A lot of internet traffic is now encrypted, all google sites and many applications that access remote resources are encrypted. More and more services are switching to encrypted traffic to ensure user privacy and security.
On the SCAS internal network we need to inspect traffic to ensure its integrity, remove traffic that may be malicious and make sure that internet traffic is genuine and not trying to bypass our web filtering.
Installing a certificate from this site allows the SCAS internet filter and your computer to trust each other for secure internet inspection purposes. Put simply, you use your device to connect to a website or use an app that communicates securely. That communication goes first to our filter where the encryption is broken so that it may inspect the contents to ensure its legitimacy and that it is free of malicious code. Once the traffic is given the go ahead from the internet filtering rules, it is then re-encrypted and sent to the original destination.
If you choose not to install the certificate it means that a lot of your traffic will know that it has been inspected and not re-encrypted and will not allow you to visit certain sites or use certain applications.
